Experia support BT Summit

Experia were delighted to attend the ‘Beyond Boundaries Sports Summit’ in Olympic Park, London on Tuesday 18th October 2016. The exclusive event gave an insight to how innovation in Sport can be used to drive access, awareness and employment for those with disabilities.

Experia representatives Jan Wdowczyk, (Marketing Manager) and Liz Marshall (Export Manager) were in attendance and demonstrated a portable sensory lounge to all attendees. As part of the ‘Accessibility in Action’ initiative Suzie Christopher, Charity and Community Director of BT, chaired a very inspirational panel discussion with Alex White, Charitable Fund Executive of the Premier League with Peter & Kate Shippey, co-founders of The Shippey Campaign. The discussion gave a great insight to the Shippey’s passion for watching live football and being able to share it with their three autistic children. The Shippey’s aim is to have a sensory room installed into each Premiership Football Stadium to give families who have a child suffering with learning difficulties a quiet and calming place in order to watch a live match.

Jan Wdowczyk, Experia stated: “Liz and I very much enjoyed attending the Summit and demonstrating the products as part of our Sensory Lounge. It really was a pleasure to work closely with BT and Beyond Sport and take part in projects that really do make a difference. Seeing the excitement on Peter and Kate’s faces when demonstrating the products meant the world to me”.
