'Using Technology to treat Sensory Defensiveness' is a CPD accredited seminar created for presentation on-board our Sensory Bus at this years OT Show. The seminar was created by Occupational Therapists, Shena Hardwick and Maxine Bell, of Sherwood Therapy Services. The CPD accredited seminar presents an interactive journey, “catching the bus”, using Experia’s Multi Sensory Interactive Learning Environment (MiLE).
As experienced OT’s & case workers, the experts often find that adults and young children with learning difficulties can get incredibly anxious about everyday tasks such as simply catching a bus. The seminar has been developed to reinforce sensory knowledge using a purpose-built scenario, created on Experia's very own Room Director software.
