One of their latest projects was to provide two multi-sensory rooms, one at the Al-Hidaya Kindergarten and the other at the Al-Hidaya School in Al Thumama. The sensory room will be used to aid in the development of therapy to stimulate the senses and help children with learning disabilities.
Working alongside their long-term partner Experia, a UK business with a long-standing name in the field of sensory integration rooms, they started by working on creating the perfect room for the kindergarten and the school.
The sensory equipment for the kindergarten and school after several consultations was chosen to ensure two unique rooms were created that caters to all users and their abilities.

Within the Al-Hidaya School, the following equipment was chosen for the sensory room to assist with the children's developmental needs.
In both the Al-Hidaya kindergarten and school, the MiLE room package was chosen for. The MiLE, or Multisensory Learning Environment, makes learning more engaging by combining light, sound, video, vibration, moving air, aromas and even atmospheric conditions into a controllable immersive experience tailored to the needs of the individual, regardless of age or ability.
Using Experia's specially designed IRiS software, therapists can create scenarios on any theme, specific to what rewards or calms their users. Drag and drop multiple videos, images, triggers for any of the IRiS sensory equipment, and instructions for the users to press a switch or otherwise interact with their environment, onto a simple-to-use timeline, and off you go!
From teaching complex subjects to high functioning individuals, to creating themes for calming and distraction therapy for users with emotional and behavioural difficulties, the versatility of the MiLE room means that it can be tailored to all users and their specific, interests and needs.
Therapists can now take their users into space, under the sea, back in time, or to anywhere relevant to their teaching themes or their patients' preference. The sensory room provides a range of features that can engage all the senses from visual to auditory, tactile to olfactory and vibration. The sensory room provides a stimulus for everything and everyone; it has a function for every individual and helps them to develop vital skills and independence.
